The Jazz Age Lawn Party 2015

This past Saturday and Sunday hundreds made their annual journey flocking to Governor's Island to rest in the shade or bath in the sun, sipping cocktails filled with gin, dancing and laughing while the sound of the jazz band filled the perfect summer air. For me, now summer has begun.

The 10 year anniversary celebration really was quite spectacular. I feel there were twice as many people in attendance as last year. The St. Germain VIP cocktail bar was so elegant adding a touch of luxury to the lawn. I had the amazing opportunity to meet and snap a photo of Lynn Yaeger, who said she liked the dress I made, swoon. The performances were new and exciting, the dance floor was full and jumping. The Dreamland Follies were beautiful as always and the sweetest girls you will ever meet. Mr. Michael Arenella gave one of the most charming performances yet. I had a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet people who follow my blog! I loved getting to say hello to you all.

I will be sharing photos of my dress and look next week, but for now there is a little preview on my instagram.

It was such a blast. If you missed it, get your tickets for August now!

  6. Seriously, swoon-ably spectacular! It would be amazing if this concept spread further afield in much the way the chap run has, and become something that takes place in many spots around the world each year.
